The DesignLights Consortium® is a voluntary certification initiative for LED technology requiring lighting products to comply with minimum performance standards in three critical areas: distribution efficacy, color, and longevity/stress. Testing to DLC requirements must be completed by an Accredited Laboratory, and test results submitted directly to the DLC by the manufacturer.
Light Laboratory Inc. is accredited by NVLAP® (Lab Code 200927-0) for. Light Laboratory reports for LM-79 and In-Situ Temperature Measurement Test are accepted by DLC. When a lighting product is tested and accepted by the DesignLights Consortium® Qualified Products List, financial incentives may be provided by Local, State and or Federal Agencies. The DLC program intends to ensure that only high-quality, high-performance, tested and verified LED products will be eligible for rebates from participating programs.
